Where a child attends two or more settings for 15 hours per week, you are now entitled to choose which setting claims the funding.

For a child born between:


• 1st January and 31st March - they will be eligible for a free place from the start of the SUMMER term following their 3rd birthday;
• 1st April to 31 August - they will be eligible for a free place from the start of the AUTUMN term following their 3rd birthday; or
• 1st September to 31st December - they will be eligible for a free place from the start of the SPRING term following their 3rd birthday.

Basic fee structure:

 

We charge £5.00 an hour for 2 year olds - do you know if you are eligible for 2 year old funding?
We charge £4.80 an hour for those children who are not Government funded. Please see below.

Government funding:


Children are entitled to 15 hours of government funding - starting from the term after their third birthday.  This can be split between settings if that child attends more than one. Nursery education funding is split into 3 distinct periods per year: 1st Jan - 31st March; 1st April - 31 August; 1st September - 31 December. Funding is paid for up to 15 hours per week for 38 weeks per year split into terms of 12 or 14 weeks, not including any holiday. The following list details when a child is eligible to receive funding until statutory school age (all dates are inclusive).  We can also claim goverment funding for 2 year olds, please ask a member of staff for more details.”

Achieving 2 year olds (A2YO) funding

Does your family meet the criteria for Free School Meals?  Do you receive working tax credits?  Is your household income less than £16,190? 

  • Your child could be entitled to 15 hours a week (570 hours per year) of free early learning childcare.

Early education places for 3 and 4 year olds

  • All 3 and 4 years olds are entitled to Funded Early Education and can use childminders, pre-school playgroup, nurseries or Children's Centres who are registered with Gloucester County Council to deliver nursery education.

30 hours entitlement and tax-free childcare

  • From September 2017 some 3 and 4 ears olds may be entitled to an additional 570 hours of free childcare over 38 weeks of the year.  Full details can be found on the Glos Families directory.
